Launch | Singing River Trail

The Partner

Emerging from the Launch2035 (now Launch) community development initiative, the Singing River Trail swiftly garnered attention and acclaim throughout North Alabama.  Evolving from an 80-mile trail to an impressive 200-mile expanse in about a year, the Trail is positioned to become a major destination for the up to one million people living in the region.

The Challenge

Advanced by a coalition of political, civic, and business leaders, Singing River Trail is so much more than an economic or community asset.  It’s an opportunity to knit together diverse communities, in a shared vision that supports quality of life and outdoor recreation.

Project drivers knew they needed one of the nation’s top destination and economic development marketing agencies, to not only communicate the Trail’s value to a wider audience, but keep it “top of mind” for diverse stakeholders.

The Solutions

The Trail benefits current and future residents, outdoor recreationists, animal lovers, and well, everyone.  In the project’s early stages, Red Sage’s team leveraged heavy photography and video content, distributed cross-channel, to build public enthusiasm around key milestones.

Our agency’s economic development marketing work continues to engage traditional media and targeted influencers, with focus on social content that is high-energy and rooted in the trail’s core appeal – connecting communities through nature and outside exploration.

The Results

  • Successful integrated PR strategies for economic development marketing, engaging local, regional and state media
  • Diverse collateral and swag design, including printed infographics and t-shirts, hats and patches
  • Dynamic video-driven content, distributed on socials and garnering above-industry average impressions and views
