A Milestone Achievement in Destination Website Design

Red Sage is proud to announce our status as an Honoree in the esteemed 28th Annual Webby Awards!  This is a first for our agency in the coveted global competition, long known for recognizing “the best” of the Internet.  Our website for The Land Trust of North Alabama has been honored in the Community category.  It was singled out by judges amid a competitive pool of 13,000 entries worldwide.

This is the second major award for the Land Trust’s new website, designed and programmed by Red Sage.  It was previously honored with a Notable X for Interface & Navigation at the American Advertising Federation of North Alabama’s ADDY Awards.

Reflecting on the 2024 Webby honors, Red Sage’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Michelle Stark, emphasized the rigorous research and audience analysis undertaken to deliver a next-level experience for visitors, recreationists, and environmentalists alike.

“To receive recognition in the Webby Awards is a really big deal in our industry.  These awards are very, very competitive and only a fraction of entries rise to the top,” Stark said.  “This achievement is a testament to the dedication and talent of our team, who worked tirelessly to create a website that not only showcases the mission The Land Trust but also captivates visitors from the moment they arrive.”

Website Development to Support one of North Alabama’s Biggest Natural Attractions

Launched in 2023, The Land Trust’s website boasts a contemporary aesthetic and standout user experience.  It also incorporates programming techniques that facilitate rich visitor engagement.  The site was developed as part of a larger ongoing partnership to refresh the Land Trust’s branding and core appeal.  Organizational leadership wanted a highly-functional website that would reengage existing audiences, while captivating new ones.

The Land Trust of North Alabama is one of the region’s biggest natural draws.  The non-profit, through its mission of preserving green spaces regionally, manages over 80 miles of public trails across 10,000 acres.  It also offers hikes, family fun, and volunteer opportunities.  The Land Trust’s impact can be felt in conservation, advocacy, recreation and education.  Its new website had to reflect that.

“Partnering with Red Sage has been a truly rewarding experience,” Melanie Manson, The Land Trust’s Marketing Director, said. “Together we’ve crafted a revitalized website that educates visitors about our mission, while helping them discover and explore the wonders of nature in North Alabama.”
