Red Sage Communications is proud to welcome Kate West to the team as our new Director of Digital Services.
Kate joins Red Sage after a decade leading digital operations teams at two major national publishing brands. Most recently, Farm Journal, and previously Industry Dive, now part of Informa TechTarget.
That experience gave her a front-row seat to how audiences actually behave online: what earns their attention, what earns their trust, and what makes them come back.
It’s a perspective that translates directly to the work we do every day helping destinations, attractions, and consumer brands become places people don’t just visit, but love.
In her new role, Kate will oversee Red Sage’s integrated digital team, guiding strategy across paid media, social, content, and the practice of optimizing for how AI-powered search and generative engines are answering people’s questions before they ever click a link.
She’ll work closely with our specialists to make sure every channel is pulling in the same direction, backed by clear, honest reporting that turns campaign data into real decisions.
There’s also something more personal Kate brings to the role. She lives in Telluride, Colorado. A place that draws people in not through gimmicks, but through the honest pull of mountains, community, and a story worth telling.
It’s a daily reminder of exactly what Red Sage clients are trying to build: a sense of place strong enough to turn a visitor into a believer.
“Destination marketing works when it’s authentic,” Kate said. “People can tell the difference between a place selling itself and a place inviting you in. My job is to help our clients do the inviting, and to make sure the tools we use, from paid media to AI search, are working in service of that authenticity, not against it.”
As AI reshapes how people discover new places and brands, Kate’s focus on pairing emerging technology with genuine storytelling is exactly the kind of thinking Red Sage is built on.
We couldn’t be more excited to have her on the team. Welcome to Red Sage, Kate.
