Red Sage Communications, Inc. is one of Alabama's top marketing, advertising and website design firms, and is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator & Data Analyst. The Coordinator & Data Analyst plans, develops and coordinates marketing, advertising, and website design projects for Red Sage and its clients. This employee also manages data acquisition, analytics tracking, and performance analysis services. Reports to Marketing Director and President, per project requirements.

Duties of the Marketing Coordinator & Data Analyst:

  • Works with Red Sage team members to develop and manage data-driven strategic communication plans, marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns for Red Sage clients
  • Writes and edits copy that supports broad strategic objectives for: marketing materials and print collateral, websites and landing pages, blogs, e-newsletters, social media, or news releases
  • Checks and approves creative or production materials including copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinates client approval of said projects
  • Designs and manages pay-per-click and display advertising campaigns using Google AdWords or other digital platforms; including keyword research and performance optimization adjustments
  • Negotiates purchase and placement of advertising buys through traditional and social media outlets
  • Coordinates and manages client website development projects; conducts analysis of website performance variables using Google Analytics, Google Data Studio and other relevant digital tools
  • Identifies best practice data-capture methods for marketing, advertising and web projects, tracks progress and ROI against required benchmarks, and generates high-quality reports with improvement recommendations for Red Sage senior leadership or clients
  • Creates custom reports using Google Data Studio or similar applications for monthly, quarterly or campaign-specific reporting
  • Assists in basic website programming or design tasks as assigned, using Joomla, WordPress or HubSpot
  • Assists Marketing Director in development and execution of Red Sage marketing and sales initiatives, including improvements in best practices and internal processes
  • Assists in maintenance of Red Sage databases including, but not limited to: media contacts, media kits, and sample publications
  • Researches and monitors industry trends to proactively share knowledge and provide input and suggestions for Red Sage and clients
  • Other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • B.A. in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, journalism, data analytics, data systems management, business information management, or a related-field
  • Capable of managing large, multi-faceted projects from origination to completion
  • Excellent customer service and client-management skills; ability to work independently or within a team
  • Able to meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing project expectations quickly and appropriately
  • Strong critical thinking, communications, and writing skills
  • Experience using Google AdWords and managing digital advertising campaigns
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, social media analytics and relevant report generation tools
  • Proficient in Google Data Studio
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency building and managing complex data-tracking spreadsheets, especially in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google AdWords and/or Analytics Certified
  • Previous experience with marketing data analytics, digital advertising analytics, website management, web and social media analytics
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Joomla, CMS platforms
  • Previous website programming experience, experience with HTML code and web-based applications
  • Previous Salesforce/Pardot experience
